Information on the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment

In connection with the sale of electrical and electronic devices, we are required to inform you of the following:

All devices suitable for use in private households are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.

 

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste. Instead, it must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries that are not permanently enclosed within the device must be removed from the device before it is disposed of.

You are personally responsible for deleting personal data from the old device before returning it..

For private households, old devices can be returned to the municipal collection points operated by the city or local municipality.

Information on battery disposal

In connection with the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, we are required to provide you with the following information:
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
You may either return used batteries that we currently sell, or have previously sold as new batteries, to us at your own expense, or return them free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). Alternatively, you can take the batteries to your local collection point.
As the end user, you are legally required to return used batteries so that they can be recycled or disposed of properly.
Used batteries may contain hazardous substances that can harm the environment or human health if they are not stored or disposed of correctly. However, batteries also contain valuable raw materials, such as iron, zinc, manganese, and nickel, which can be recovered and reused.
The symbols shown on batteries have the following meanings:
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of in household waste.
For batteries containing more than certain amounts of lead, cadmium, or mercury, the following abbreviations appear beneath the crossed-out bin symbol to indicate the hazardous substance present: 
Pb = battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass
